Road To California

Wow! Just WOW!

My first time ever after being invited by Road since 2017. Back in 2017 and until 2024, I really didn't have enough product to sustain the website and the show, I didn't want to "double sell". I brought so many totes and wish I had a picture of my truck all loaded up.

I had my booth, 418-420, kinda in the middle.  It took me about 4 plus hours to unload and arrange by designer.

Each day went from 9:30 to 5:30 for 4 days plus the preview night on Tuesday Eve. I saw friends that I haven't seen in a long time, my longarm clients, friends from high school and all the wonderful people who I have met at previous quilt shows, retreats, pop up shows and website clients who have bought off the site. I also had Eleanor Burns come to my booth to meet me.

Each vening when I got home, I had to cut fabric to replace what I sold and each morning I would lug in on the truck dolly, at least 3 full totes. We had extremely bad santa ana winds in that week of the show.  My power went out at the house and I would have to use our gas powered generator.  My husband, Jeff, was gone on a business trip so, along with the show, I had to take care of all the animals

I sold out plus had to retire many fabrics but that enabled me to buy new product.  My Moda's came in this week ( pictured in New Arrivals) and I am hoping to get my Riley Blakes (also in New Arrivals) before my next show, Valley Wide Quilt Show in San Jacinto Feb 7 & 8.

I definitely will be back next year for Road To California, 2026
