South Bay Quilt Show

II absolutely love being a vendor at quilt shows and the South Bay Quilt Show 2025, did not disappoint.  First of all, have you ever gone to this show and checked out all the raffle Baskets?  I counted 37.  I am in awe at the thoughtfulness that the guild member's put into them as evidence of the stage area that starts to get crowded around 2:30 in anticipation of 3:00 pm when the first raffle # is called out.

Each basket was different and I am not kidding when I say that hundreds of dollars go into each basket.  Sewing machines, cutting mats, tools, markers, rulers, Ironing mats, fabric, fabric, fabric like dozens of fat quarter's, flat folds, yardage with so many top designer's in the quilting world and not pre-owned, everything was brand new.  It is so worth it to put next year's "South Bay Quilt Show" a "must go" and all the quilts on display were fantastic! All I can say is "amazing"!  I met Dale, who came into my booth to purchase fabric and  had a quilt on display, a "pictorial quilt (that is all she does) she creates winner's.  She came in 2nd place at "Road To California" 2025 for her pictorial quilt and that quilt will travel to international quilt shows for the next 3 years.

With being a vendor, it gives me an opportunity to meet people and see those that have purchased from me before, I love when they come into my booth and purchase again which is a testament to me for my high quality backing fabric's.  I also love seeing my vendor friends.  Nancy, from "Painted Daisy Studios, was across from me, not only does she make great products (makeup/toiletry/assorted bags/cell phone purses), we manned each other's booth when a "pee break" was needed!

So, long story short, be sure to put "South Bay Quilt Show" in your calendar for 2026.  I will list it on my "Events" page when I get the dates! The picture I am sharing is part of the raffle baskets.  I couldn't get all of them in one shot!
