Desert Lily Quilt Show, Yuma AZ

This was my second time being a vendor at this show and with the visitor's that came to the show, they were prepared! Last year, they got to know me and the quality of our fabrics but were not prepared with bringing their quilt tops to match up or coordinate with their completed tops. This year, they were.
I sold out many of my widebacks and when the show ended, I had to go through my inventory so that I can order the new bolts. So yes, this show was very successful! And speaking of widebacks, I finally got in fabric that I ordered last year. American Gatherings came in last night and I have been busy with getting them into 3 yard bundles for the next show, Road To California. If you are going to Road To California, be sure to stop by my booth 418/420 and check out my new 108-inch wide backs, American Gatherings by Moda and all the other awesome extra wide backing fabrics plus pre-cuts and patterns and get a gift from me as well!
Something that I am doing differently now is not cutting up the remnants into fat quarter's. These remnants are now perfect for using in your border piecing as you will not have seams in most of your border's plus they are perfect for background piecing and much cheaper than buying 44/45 inch wide. 1 yard of 108-inch wide fabric equals 2.5 yards of the 44/44 wide fabrics. Also great for binding as you will only have to cut 4 long strips in most cases.
