Road to California Quilters Conference and Showcase

I am finally getting around to share with you all my experiences at the quilt shows so far this year.  Road to Ca was incredible.  I had a lot of product that was new which is always great especially for my regular customers.  At the show, I realized that I was missing out of a particular clientele for which I had nothing to sell them.  Can you guess what it is? Flannel and minky!  I had been asked this at previous shows but it drilled into home at this show that I needed to invest in these two products.

I did a test run;  I got a bolt of minky in just in time for my last two shows.  Success!  I sold 1/2 the bolt at Redding and the other 1/2 at Roseville (two shows in May, 2026).  The flannel was also a hit!  You cannot beat the quality by Moda.  And I forgot to say, the minky is 108 wide!

So, back to Road to CA.  I drove home each night and had to stay up cutting fabric.  I got to bed about 10:00 pm and got back up at 2:00 am.  Cut fabric until 5:30 am.  Get in the shower and rinse and repeat for all 4 days.  I met new customers for life.  Re-connected to customers that buy from me, and see friends from the last almost 40 years.  I had friends waving to me from the isle because it was so crowded to get to my booth!
