Folsom Quilt & Fiber Show

Saying that I was unsure of the set up for vendors is an understatement.  I normally have a 10x20 booth making it a somewhat of a horse shoe shape except wide and not narrow. Brenda, vendor coordinator, helped me out with "you can do this or you can't block that" which was very frustrating but I had no choice with the setup and decided to just make the best of it.  I was super tired from the 8.5 hour drive so, that didn't help!

I got the tables set up by having 2 rows of long tables with the product set up as usual in my galvanized buckets.  I finished just in time to go get a hotel room plus food and get back for the preview show.  I normally don't sell anything at any preview show but I was pleasantly surprised.  I sold a lot of bundles that night.  The lady in the booth near me but in a hallway around the corner, had assured me that I would do very well.  The only thing that didn't go well was my hotel room.  I did not know that there were people living there.  Drug deals, fights, cars revving up their engines and peeling out of the parking lot at 2 am, uggggg!  The excellent news, this show was an absolute success!  I was quite busy the whole time.  I saw regular customers who always buy from me and I met lots of new customers.  My vendor friends from Northern CA were all there along with new vendors that I got to know.

I will definitely be back at this show and btw, these Northern California quilt shows rock!
