Out of all the fabrics that I sell, Grunge, and I'm talking 'Moda Grunge', sells the best!  Not only can you use this for the backside of your quilt, I have clients that buy it for the piecing in their quilt tops especially for background piecing. 1 yd of 108 inch-wide equals to 2.5 yards of 44/45 inch-wide selvage to selvage.  Also this, did you know that almost all high quality cotton fabric, will have the vendor, designer and product #, printed in the selvage.

Grunge is a unique fabric that is dyed first and then printed on one side to provide texture to the fabric.  It can Vary widely depending on the number of colors applied, the subtlety or contrast of those colors, and so on.
